PROBUS CLUB OF BABBACOMBE & ST MARYCHURCH
(Meeting in Wellswood, Torquay)

Probus is a fellowship of retired men, dedicated to help one another in the enjoyment and problems of retirement. Our club of Babbacombe and St Marychurch actually meets in Wellswood in Torquay, and is very friendly and welcomes new members, particularly if you are newly retired, fresh to the area or perhaps recently bereaved. 

 

We meet every Thursday morning from September to May, with time for a coffee and a chat before a talk from one of the many excellent speakers that we are able to book.

We meet in the Mary Alexander Lounge at St Matthias Church in Wellswood. This is a lovely, comfortable room, just by the bus stop (the 22 or 122) on the Babbacombe Road (easily accessible from town and from Babbacombe and St Marychurch) and with car parking. 

​

We also hold a Christmas lunch, and we have summer activities too - see the "Forthcoming Talks" page for more details.

We are now in recess until 7th September, although we have a few summer activities coming up. A new list of exciting Forthcoming Talks will some be uploaded. We would really like to welcome potential new members when we restart in September. You are welcome to attend for up to 3 sessions before deciding whether to join us.
